Had to copy this lucious-looking recipe:
Ingredients:
1 15oz can of pure pumpkin
3 cups of sugar
1 cup of water
1 cup of vegetable oil
4 eggs
3 1/3 cups of all purpose flour
2 tsp's of baking soda
2 tsp's of cinnamon
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of nutmeg
3/4 tsp of ground cloves
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Grease AND flour 2 loaf pans
Combine pumpkin, sugar, water oil and eggs and mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients and mix.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and beat until smooth.
Divide batter between both loaf pans.
Bake for 60-70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool for 10-15 minutes before removing from pans.
Tips:
Pumpkin pie spice could easily be substituted for the cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Add little or more spice depending on your preference.
Top with cream cheese or a pumpkin spice flavored cream cheese!
Threads n Strands:
Business talk. I'll be focusing a lot in the next few months on the business of selling what I can make. I have a few books to read, and I found 3 more books, too. I'll be buying those starting this weekend.
I need to go through my fair items. I'll be adding on to my baby blankets by making hats, mitts, and booties. Taking the lead from Steve, and I should make baby and tot items in white. He believes that they may sell during my Spring show at Hallockville. Despite the economy, we are experiencing a mini baby-boom. More couples are staying home than going out. I will also focus on shawls and ponchos. And also making H, S, & M sets with what I have for the Fall Festival next year.
I'll be spending some of my down-time working on my business plan, which I will be posting here.
